Our True Love Hazel
Hazel, whose full name is True Love Hazel (WALA00126725), is intended to become the first breeding female at Mai Doodle.
What we especially love about her is her combination of energy, calmness and strong people orientation. Hazel loves being right in the middle of things without constantly needing to be the centre of attention. She loves being close to her people, is a real cuddle bug and thoroughly enjoys lots of affection.
At the same time, she is curious, eager to learn and loves being active. On hikes, Hazel is a real bundle of energy. When we sit down at a café afterwards, she can just as naturally settle down and lie quietly beside us. We especially love this ability to adapt to very different situations.

Hazel has regularly joined me at school for piano lessons since she was a puppy. As soon as we arrive, she settles down on her spot and listens to the children making music. Even though people are playing and talking around her and someone is always coming in or leaving the room, she is remarkably good at settling down. Hazel loves children – and the children love Hazel!
She also regularly joins Rene at the office. With her open and approachable nature, she brings joy to his colleagues and shows how naturally she fits into very different everyday situations.
Hazel always travels to the office in the most charming way: in her dog backpack on the bicycle. Oh, how she loves those rides!
Hazel loves retrieving and really enjoys learning things together. We are especially impressed by how well she can already control her impulses. Even when something is exciting, she often manages remarkably well to wait or hold herself back.
Of course, she also has her “crazy puppy zoomies”. She loves burning off that energy with tug games – or by racing through the garden like a whirlwind with a stuffed toy in her mouth.
Short daily training sessions are simply part of her routine. She needs this shared activity and clearly enjoys it. Afterwards she is balanced, content and happy – and usually ready for the next cuddle.

What we hope for from Hazel at Mai Doodle
Hazel is intended to become Mai Doodle's first breeding female. What matters most to us is her friendly, balanced and people-oriented nature.
She brings many of the qualities we hope to see in our future puppies: joy around people, eagerness to learn, attentiveness, the ability to settle and, at the same time, enthusiasm for shared activities.
Of course, every puppy develops into an individual personality. Our goal, however, is to raise dogs that enjoy living with people, fit well into a varied everyday life and become reliable family and everyday companions. We also particularly value traits that may later make a dog suitable for training as a therapy companion or assistance dog.
